Prep for waxing
- obviously you come with hair on , preferably 3 weeks if you shaved beforehand or 4 weeks if you waxed. Hair growth of 2 weeks doesn't leave me much to work with.
-
- no need to trim it yourself as I will do it for you, no matter the aggravating visuals that come with it :)
-
- I will provide wipes to freshen up and feel comfortable if coming after a long day of work
-
- for face waxing, if using Accoutane, Ro-Accutane , AHA or any type of medication for acne related issues it's better to wait after finishing the treatment.
- pregnant women can wax too until the last day of pregnancy, the only difference being the positioning of the body during treatment and the avoidance of essential oils .
- if under 18 years of age, a parental consent is necessary
-
- avoid alcohol or a hangover as it's definitely more painful to wax then
-
- use some pain medication 2 h before treatment if you have a really low pain threshold in general
-
- waxing can be done during period, provided you have a tampon and knowing you will be more sensitive
Post waxing
- for underarm area no antiperspirant for that day
-
- avoid sun exposure for 3 days
-
- tanning can be done after 24h
-
- no hot showers, steam or sauna , gym for the day
-
- if you choose to wash use lukewarm water and apply Aloe Vera to cool off or some tea tree lotion for antibacterial effect
-
- if suffering regularly from ingrown hairs a special ingrown solution is good to use the moment the hair starts growing again , on an everyday basis.
